Are all electric cars automatic?

No, not all electric cars are automatic. Just like traditional internal combustion engine (ICE) cars, electric cars can come with both automatic and manual transmissions. However, the majority of electric cars on the market are equipped with automatic transmissions because electric motors have a very different power delivery mechanism compared to gasoline or diesel engines.

Electric cars typically have a single-speed transmission or a multi-speed automatic transmission designed to optimize performance and efficiency.
